For most families, the passing of time is bittersweet. Children mature, parents' age, relationships change and, as new members are added to the family, others are lost along the way. When a family member is diagnosed with a life threatening illness, time acquires an acute meaning and family relationships are forced to radically adapt and change. CATCH YOU WHEN YOU FALL, a feature-length documentary film, follows the Aguilar family as they deal with 33-year-old Page Aguilar's increasing disability and growing dependency. Through the lens of Page's slow progressing disease, and her 10-year-old son, Evan's, experiences, the film brings the complexities of family roles and relationships into sharp focus and examines what happens when a young boy is forced to exchange roles with his parent at an early age.
